Snow Fall Accumulations Amounts |
DENVER - In
what is shaping up to be the second largest blizzard in
Denver's history, people were getting around the city
Wednesday on snowshoes and cross country skis.
As the snowplows struggle to clear the main streets and
highways through the metro area, people are still being
asked to stay home and out of the way. The heavy snow is not
only taking down power lines but has also caused a number of
roofs to collapse.
At its height, the blizzard was felt from the Wyoming border
all the way down to New Mexico, across the northern and
central mountains and out onto the plains. It is leaving
behind severe avalanche danger in the foothills and
mountains east of the Divide. |
